Route 6 Crash Leads To Multiple Charges For Man, 33

A 33-year-old man was busted for DWAI and numerous other charges following a traffic crash on Route 6 in Yorktown.

Steven, Cilento, of Peekskill, was arrested Friday around 6:13 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, after Yorktown Police responded to a traffic crash on Route 6 in Yorktown, said the Yorktown Police.

When officers arrived on the scene they found that Client was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, police said.

A further investigation revealed that he was allegedly in possession of a number of drugs and marijuana.

A check of his driver’s license revealed that his license had been revoked, police said.

It’s also alleged that Client refused to submit to a chemical test while in police custody.

He was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, felony driving without a license, unlicensed operation, failure to maintain lane, disobeying a traffic device, fail to stop a red light, expired registration, speed not reasonable and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

He was released to a family member on $500 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 24.
